The current political situation raises many questions about the results of President Félix-Antoine TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO after five years in power. During this period, marked by multiple challenges and a difficult context, many expectations and promises were formulated. It is therefore time to take an objective assessment of its action.
In his program entitled “With the People, let us realize the dream of a new beginning”, President TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO announced three pillars to fight against poverty: man, the engine of development, economic growth that creates jobs and protective of the environment, and finally a united society to guarantee national cohesion.
Let’s take an overview of the achievements and promises kept in these different areas.
With regard to the first pillar, that of man as the engine of development, numerous measures have been taken. First of all, education and professional training were placed among the priorities. Thus, free basic education was established throughout the Congolese territory, allowing more than 6 million children to return to school. In addition, many schools have been built and renovated, providing better learning conditions. Teacher salaries have also been increased significantly.
At the same time, vocational training and trade centers have been set up in each territory of the DRC, thus offering training and professional integration opportunities. Many efforts have also been made to ensure the care of teachers and school staff, as well as retirees from the education sector.
In the field of health, significant progress has also been made. Investments have been made to improve access to health care, particularly through the construction and rehabilitation of health centers. Additionally, efforts have been made to ensure regular payment of salaries and operating costs of health facilities.
With regard to the second pillar, that of economic growth and employment, actions have been undertaken to promote sustainable and environmentally protective development. Reforms have been put in place to encourage investment and entrepreneurship, thus creating employment opportunities for the Congolese population. In addition, measures have been taken to protect the environment and promote an economy that respects natural resources.
Finally, the third pillar, that of the united society, was also taken into account. Efforts have been made to promote national cohesion and unity of the country. Actions to combat discrimination and inequalities have been carried out, aiming to guarantee equal opportunities for all citizens. In addition, measures have been taken to strengthen social ties and promote solidarity within Congolese society.
Of course, despite this progress, challenges persist and much remains to be done. The political and economic situation in the DRC remains complex, and new problems have emerged over the past five years. However, it is important to recognize the progress made and highlight the actions undertaken to meet the expectations and needs of the Congolese population.
In conclusion, the results of Félix-Antoine TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO’s five years in power show significant progress in the areas of education, health, employment and social cohesion. Despite the challenges encountered, concrete measures have been taken to improve the lives of the Congolese and promote sustainable development. It is therefore essential to take into account these achievements and continue to support the efforts of President TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO to transform the Democratic Republic of Congo.
