Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi and Bineta Diop discuss initiatives for women in the DRC: remarkable progress and opportunities to seize

Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, First Lady of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Bineta Diop, Special Envoy of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, met recently to discuss initiatives for women in the DRC. During their exchange, they highlighted the achievements of the First Lady in various areas, including health and the fight against sickle cell anemia.

The care of sickle cell patients and the commitment of Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi in the fight against this serious illness were praised by Bineta Diop. She also expressed her wish to see this model be replicated in other African countries.
