On October 10 every year, the whole world celebrates International Mental Health Day. This year, the World Health Organization (WHO) chose the theme “Mental Health is a Universal Human Right” to highlight the importance of mental health in our overall well-being.

Finally, the third dimension highlights the importance of health coverage for people suffering from mental health problems. According to the Ministry of Public Health, around 20 million Congolese suffer from mental health problems, but health coverage for these people is still very low, with only 5% of care.
International Mental Health Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of mental health as a universal right for all. It is essential to promote and protect everyone’s mental health, and to combat the stigmatization suffered by people with mental disorders.
