Training workshop for electoral witnesses for the renewal of the mandate of President Félix Tshisekedi
From October 4 to 5, a training workshop for electoral witnesses was held at the CEPAS center in Kinshasa, organized by the Political and Social Forces Allied to the UDPS/Tshisekedi (FPAU). The objective of this workshop was to put in place a system to help President Félix Tshisekedi renew his mandate as supreme magistrate during the next elections.
For two days, participants were trained on how to monitor votes at polling station level, both for President Tshisekedi and for national and provincial deputies aligned by the FPAU. This training prepares the elections at all levels and the beneficiaries will be deployed in all the provinces to train the witnesses responsible for monitoring the votes of the current President, as well as those of all the candidates supported by the FPAU.
Elysé Bokumwana Maposo, Deputy Minister of the Budget and general coordinator of the FPAU, stressed that this is a political activity linked to the conclave organized by the FPAU the previous week, where President Tshisekedi was chosen to renew its mandate. These training programs aim to professionalize electoral observation and inform witnesses of their crucial role in polling stations across the country. Professors specializing in electoral matters were invited to guarantee this professionalization and ensure that the training is then disseminated in the capitals of the provinces, territories and sectors.
This training workshop for electoral witnesses took place in the presence of ministers, national deputies, senators, presidents of political parties and other political figures who are members of the FPAU. It marks an important step in the preparation of the upcoming elections and in supporting the candidacy of President Félix Tshisekedi.
In conclusion, this training of electoral witnesses testifies to the commitment of the political and social forces allied to the UDPS/Tshisekedi to support the renewal of the mandate of President Félix Tshisekedi. By training professional witnesses, they want to guarantee the integrity and transparency of the electoral process, affirming their desire to make the voice of the Congolese people heard during the next elections.
