Ten years after its creation, the Made in Moris movement has become much more than just a label for the local industry in Mauritius. In the tourism sector, the Attitude hotel chain has become the showcase of Made in Moris, by highlighting local products and services in its nine establishments. The company’s desire to support the local economy and promote the circular economy is clearly displayed.

Not only large companies, but also small and medium-sized businesses in the country have the opportunity to adopt the Made in Moris label. The brand has also entered the field of new technologies, with the start-up Mips, a major player in online payment solutions and e-commerce in Mauritius.

The success of Made in Moris is also visible beyond the borders of Mauritius. Mips has expanded its operations to other African countries such as Seychelles, Madagascar, Uganda and Ivory Coast. This makes the start-up a symbol of success for the Made in Moris label, proving its expansion potential and impact.
