In addition to the construction of a 350-meter bridge, the project includes the creation of a 92.2-kilometer two-lane road, the construction of a single border post between the two countries, as well as the establishment toll stations at Chalwe and Kasenga. These infrastructures will significantly reduce travel time between Lubumbashi and Dar-es-Salaam, facilitate customs clearance of goods and promote trade between the DRC and Zambia.
