President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi recently visited the Haut-Katanga province, accompanied by the First Lady. This visit was marked by the inauguration of several major infrastructure works.
Among the achievements praised by national deputy Anaclet Kabeya Kalenga, is the construction of an imposing Customs building in Kasumbalesa, financed by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGDA). This new building will facilitate cross-border trade and help put an end to the traffic jams that small traders often face.
In the rural commune of Sakania, MP Kabeya highlights the construction of a dry port which will create many jobs for young people in the region. He also mentions the ongoing work on national road number 1, in the Kasumbalesa-Mokambo-Sakania section.
