“Access Bank offers school kits to 1,000 displaced children in North Kivu to promote education for all”

Around 1,000 displaced children from the territory of Nyirangongo, in the province of North Kivu (Democratic Republic of Congo), received school kits offered by the Access Bank on Thursday, September 28. This donation, consisting of 1,000 school bags, 10,000 notebooks and 2,000 pens, is part of the “Access Happy School” campaign, which aims to promote education for all and the development of youth.

The commercial and digital director of Access Bank DRC, Adrien Shem Shem, underlined the importance of this campaign to promote access to education for all children, whatever their conditions. She also invited other donors to follow suit and continue this momentum, in order to help as many children in need as possible.

This gesture of generosity was welcomed by those in charge of Muningi primary school, which welcomes nearly 2,800 displaced schoolchildren. These children, deprived of resources and school uniforms, have until now studied without adequate equipment. Thus, this donation from the Access Bank represents a significant step forward for these vulnerable children, allowing them to consider their educational future in a more serene manner.

School officials are now calling on other organizations to follow Access Bank’s lead and provide support to these children who need education just as much as everyone else. They hope that this action will inspire other solidarity initiatives in favor of the education of displaced children.

In conclusion, thanks to the generosity of the Access Bank, nearly 1,000 displaced children from North Kivu were able to receive essential school kits for their education. This act of solidarity represents hope for these vulnerable children and shows that education for all is a cause worth defending. Hopefully this action will inspire other organizations to support these children in need and give them a better future.
