“The Fevoco Cup successfully begins in a new indoor venue, marking a major development in Congolese volleyball”

The 19th edition of the Fevoco Cup (Congo Volleyball Federation) began this Sunday, September 24 in the newly built hall of the General Commission of the Congolese National Police (PNC) in the commune of Lingwala. This is the first time that this competition has been played in an indoor venue, marking a significant development for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The organizers did everything possible to ensure the success of the competition, after a previous edition which was held in Kolwezi, in Greater Katanga. This year, the Fevoco Cup is being played in a covered venue, offering players and spectators optimal conditions to enjoy the tournament.

The program for this first day of competition included several exciting matches. In the women’s category, the Ouragan team faced the Matala team, while the UBUNTU team played against New la loi. On the men’s side, we were able to witness a clash between Greem Team and Impala, as well as between Madaka and Free Boys. Finally, the Hope team played against the Police/kin.

The competition is divided into several groups. In the women’s category, group A includes the teams of Canon, Force du Progrès, Matala, Dcmp and Ouragan, while group B is made up of La loi, La Gracia, Ubuntu and New la loi.

For the men, the Espoir team was placed in group A, alongside PNC Main noire and Kasaï Espoir. Group B brings together Greem Team, FT Ubuntu and Impalas, while group C is made up of Mazembe, Madaka, Free Boys and Gothia.

This 19th edition of the Fevoco Cup promises to be exciting, with teams motivated and ready to fight to win the title. Volleyball fans in the DRC will be able to enjoy high-level matches and support their favorite teams throughout the competition.
