Despite the doubts of those around him, he created his own brand, C’est Bon, in 2018. The name was chosen carefully, reflecting his desire to offer a unique vision and an identity specific to his creations. Mamadou settles in Los Angeles, takes on odd jobs in the fashion world and works hard to get his brand off the ground.
Success was achieved, and quickly, Mamadou’s creations began to get noticed. NBA stars such as Dwyane Wade and Anthony Davis wear his clothes, giving him invaluable exposure. But the consecration came at the start of 2021, when the Jordan brand contacted him to collaborate on a pair of sneakers very popular with sneaker lovers. This opportunity allows him to add his personal touch and highlight his Guinean origins in the design of the shoe. For Mamadou, it’s a dream come true.
