“Exemplary partnership: Mont-Ngafula in Kinshasa and Waremme in Belgium join forces to modernize municipal infrastructure and improve services”

The partnership between the municipality of Mont-Ngafula in Kinshasa and that of Waremme in Belgium was recently concretized by the signing of an agreement. This agreement aims to modernize the infrastructure of the Mont-Ngafula municipal house and improve services intended for the population.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the provincial Minister of the Interior, Security and Justice as well as representatives of the two municipalities. The minister expressed his support for this project which is important for the city of Kinshasa, given the increase in the population and the need to improve the civil status.

This partnership will notably enable the construction of civil status offices and the recruitment of qualified personnel to revitalize the various services. The alderman of the town of Waremme stressed the importance of integrating the Belgian embassy in the DRC into this partnership.

The mayor of Mont-Ngafula welcomed the support of the Belgian ambassador to the DRC and expressed his desire to realize the vision of the head of state Félix Tshisekedi, which aims to develop infrastructure and improve services for the population .

The Belgian delegation also had the opportunity to visit the civil registry offices located in the different districts of Mont-Ngafula, as well as schools, universities and tourist sites.

This partnership between Mont-Ngafula and Waremme demonstrates the importance of international cooperation for the development of infrastructure and public services. It offers new perspectives to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Mont-Ngafula and to strengthen the links between the two municipalities.
