“Reform of the State examination in the DRC: the Synergy of trade union and social organizations calls for the autonomy of the General Inspectorate of Education to guarantee a fair evaluation”

The Synergy of trade union and social organizations of the DRC recently called for a reform of the organization of the state examination in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This initiative aims to restore the autonomy of the General Inspectorate of Education in the organization of this crucial examination.

According to Synergy, this administrative and financial autonomy would make it possible to remedy the dysfunctions noted during the last edition of the state exam. Indeed, the debacle that surrounded this event sparked strong criticism and called into question the credibility of the Congolese education system.

By asking the Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST) to respect the school calendar that it itself recently published, Synergy wishes to establish greater coherence and better organization in the conduct of the exam. . This decision aims to guarantee a fair and objective assessment of the knowledge of Congolese students.

At the same time, the Synergy of trade union organizations highlights the importance of respecting the principles and standards that govern social dialogue. The unions are asking the government not to muzzle trade unionists and to avoid any form of repression.

This position taken by the Synergy of trade union and social organizations illustrates the desire of Congolese civil society to promote more transparent and inclusive educational governance. By highlighting the need for autonomous management of the General Inspectorate of Education, the unions underline the importance of strengthening educational institutions to guarantee a quality education system in the DRC.

In conclusion, the restitution of the organization of the state examination to the General Inspectorate of Education in the DRC is a legitimate demand of the Synergy of trade union and social organizations. This initiative aims to improve the quality of Congolese education by guaranteeing a fair assessment of students’ knowledge. Let us hope that the competent authorities will take into account these legitimate requests to promote the development of education in the DRC.
