A new political breath in Kinshasa: presentation of DYPRO candidates for the election of national deputies
Kinshasa, August 12, 2023 – After the publication of the provisional list of candidates for the election of national deputies in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the political group Dynamic Progressive Revolutionary (DYPRO) held a popular meeting at the Assosa field in the commune of Kasa-Vubu to present its candidates. The event was marked by the presence of numerous activists and supporters who came to support this new political offer.
The DYPRO, which reached the admissibility threshold with 406 national deputy candidates, or 84%, is made up of several political parties such as ANADEC, UNIR, DYREC, NOGEC, RFC and ADCO. Its leader, Constant Mutamba, took this opportunity to present the political offer of the Republican opposition “Rupture”, a project which aims to renew the Congolese political class.
In his speech, Constant Mutamba underlined the importance of youth in this process of political renewal. According to him, it is time for the old practices of anti-values and the errors of the past to be broken to allow a real change in the management of public affairs. DYPRO fights for this and sees democratic elections as the way to achieve this. This is why she also played a crucial role in rescuing the electoral process which was adrift.
During this meeting, Constant Mutamba also announced that DYPRO will soon reveal the name of its candidate for the presidential election. A conclave will be organized to ratify this choice. This approach demonstrates DYPRO’s ambition to support the candidacy of Congolese youth and to propose a strong alternative during this crucial election.
The event aroused great enthusiasm among DYPRO activists, who see this political offer as a real possibility to change things. They hope that this renewal of the Congolese political class will make it possible to break with corrupt practices and build a better future for the DRC.
The presentation of DYPRO candidates for the election of national deputies thus marks a major turning point in the political scene in Kinshasa. Their commitment to political renewal and their desire to restore hope to the Congolese population give new impetus to democracy in the DRC. It now remains to be seen how this political offer will be received by voters in the next elections.
