The Congolese celebrate a new victory during the ninth Francophonie games with the obtaining of a silver medal in the creative dance competition. The Congolese company “Les Algues” shone on stage and captivated the audience with their exceptional performance. In a packed performance hall at the People’s Palace, the Congolese dancers demonstrated their creativity and talent, ranking second place. The competition was tough with the presence of Mauritius, Burkina Faso and Benin. After 15 minutes of performance from each country, the jury deliberated, taking into account different criteria such as creativity and scenography. Burkina Faso won first place, followed by the DRC, then Benin. Mauritius received the jury prize.

Creative dance is a true form of artistic expression, allowing dancers to convey their intentions and awaken emotions in spectators. The Congolese dancers were able to capture the attention of the jury and the public thanks to their talent and their involvement.

This silver medal adds to the other successes of the DRC during these Francophonie games. The ninth Francophone Games are taking place in Kinshasa until Sunday August 6, with nine sporting disciplines and eleven cultural competitions on the program.
