Stanis Bujakera affair: Press freedom at stake

The deputy publishing director of actualite.cd, Stanis Bujakera, was recently interviewed in chambers following a request for provisional release filed by his lawyer. This request highlights the fact that Stanis Bujakera has a permanent job and has no criminal record, thus ensuring that his escape is not to be feared.

The prosecution now has 48 hours to respond to this request, but the lawyers have already announced that they will appeal in the event of refusal.
