Title: New members of management committees in university establishments in the Tshopo province
Introduction :
The Minister of Higher and University Education, Muhindo Nzangi, recently published a ministerial decree appointing new members of management committees in different university establishments in the Tshopo province. This decision comes with the aim of restoring order and reorganizing the management committees, following internal problems which affected the smooth running of academic activities. In this article, we will examine the changes made in institutions such as the University of Kisangani, the Higher Institute of Commerce, the Higher Pedagogical Institute and the Institute of Medical Techniques.
New members of the management committees:
In the ministerial decree, several important appointments were announced. At ISC Kisangani, Professor Esuka Alfani Jean-Claude has been appointed as the new Director General, replacing Professor Jacques-Riverain Lofemba. At the same time, at the University of Kisangani, Professor Juakali Sihalikyolo Jean-Jeannot was appointed Academic Secretary General, succeeding Professor Juakaly Mbumba, who was appointed to ISP Kisangani.
Other notable changes include the appointment of religious sister Dr Brigitte Anibiloni as budget administrator, and Professor Marie-Bernard Dedya as administrative secretary general of the University of Kisangani. In addition, Professor Grison-Tresor Kakumbi left his position as Academic Secretary General at ISC to occupy the same position at ISTM Kisangani, and was replaced by Professor Bruno Kawaya. Finally, Assistant Théophile Twangaka took charge of the general administrative secretariat of ISC Kisangani.
Objectives of the ministerial decree:
According to the ministerial decree, this decision was taken urgently in order to restore order at ISC Kisangani and to reorganize the management committees of these Tshopo institutions. It should be noted that academic activities were interrupted for several days due to a crisis within the ISC management committee, which led to protests by disgruntled students and acts of destruction of property within the establishment.
Conclusion :
The appointment of new members of management committees in university establishments in the Tshopo province marks an important step in restoring order and guaranteeing the proper functioning of academic activities. It is essential that these changes help create an environment conducive to student learning and success. It remains to be seen how these new appointments will have an impact on the future of these institutions and the quality of the education they offer.
