Kinshasa, September 9, 2023 – The Budget Conference of the Mining Cadastre of the Democratic Republic of Congo (CAMI) for the 2024 financial year concluded after four days of fruitful discussions and strategic planning. This conference brought together CAMI executives and agents with the aim of developing realistic budget forecasts for the coming year.
The main objective of this conference was to project in figures the management of the mining domain and the titles granted, taking into account the technical and scientific aspects. CAMI thus wishes to actively contribute to the improvement of governance in the mining sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The discussions addressed various subjects, including the vision of the Head of State, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, for the country’s mining sector. Participants also reflected on how CAMI can effectively contribute to the management of the mining sector, by developing a realistic budget.
Particular attention was paid to the expansion of CAMI in the provinces, with emphasis on regions with high mining activity. The objective is to strengthen the supervision and regulation of the mining sector on a national scale.
During the closing ceremony, the Director General of CAMI, Mr. Paul MABOLIA YENGA, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the work and the results obtained. He stressed the importance of commitment and collaboration of all participants to achieve solid budget lines.
CAMI is committed to implementing the recommendations and decisions resulting from this budget conference in order to best fulfill its mission and actively contribute to the country’s economic growth..
