Joachim Kusamba, president of Gungu civil society, is sounding the alarm and launching an urgent appeal for help. According to him, many families spent the night under the stars and children are deprived of access to education due to the damage caused to schools.
“We have 75 houses whose roofs were blown away. 4 schools, including a secondary school, were also affected. Two churches lost their roofs, as well as a land affairs office. In addition, the distribution cables of the Kakobola hydroelectric plant are damaged. We need rapid repair for schools and urgent assistance for affected families,” says Joachim Kusamba.
