Inauguration of the Election House in Gombe

President Denis KADIMA KAZADI recently inaugurated the House of Elections in Gombe, in the presence of members of the plenary assembly of the Electoral Center as well as many distinguished guests. Located on Avenue Kolwezi, this space aims to facilitate interactions between the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) and Congolese citizens.

In his inaugural speech, President KADIMA KAZADI expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the realization of this project, in particular the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the many financial partners. He underlined that the House of Elections was an important step in the realization of the commitments made by the CENI to improve the quality of services and strengthen relations with stakeholders.

The Election House will be open to all citizens wishing to obtain information on the electoral process. It will also serve as a training venue for the media, civil society organizations and political parties. President KADIMA KAZADI announced that specific training would be organized for representatives of community radios, because radio remains the media closest to the population and must therefore have precise information on political parties, candidates and modalities. of ballot.

The project coordinator, Marie Laure YAONE, pointed out that the House of Elections would allow greater accessibility to information and thus contribute to the inclusion and transparency of the electoral process. She also underlined that this communication space would promote a constructive dialogue with the actors involved in the electoral process.

The UNDP Resident Representative, meanwhile, stressed the importance of access to information in the electoral process, and hailed the Elections House as a place that will foster constructive dialogue and make available to voters and parties stakeholders the necessary elements for an informed understanding of electoral issues.

In conclusion, the inauguration of the House of Elections in Gombe marks an important step in the democratic process in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
