“Financial control: the Democratic Republic of Congo ensures transparent management of funds for the Games of La Francophonie”

After the organizational success of the IX Games of La Francophonie in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo is once again making headlines. This time, it is the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) which comes into action to control the management of public funds linked to this major event.

The IGF, responsible for supervising the financial operations, said it was satisfied with the management of the financial resources made available to the Organizing Committee headed by Isidore Kwandja. The two parties jointly evaluated the work carried out by the IGF during a working session.

The IGF wanted to pay tribute to the President of the Congolese Republic, who chaired the Steering Committee of the Games, as well as to Isidore Kwandja, National Director, for the success of this event bringing together French-speaking countries.

At the moment, the IGF and the Steering Committee are in the process of making an inventory of the assets of the Games of La Francophonie, which will then be allocated to the various government departments.

This financial control process demonstrates the will of the Congolese authorities to ensure transparent and responsible management of public funds, and confirms the recognition of the efforts put in place for the success of this international event.

Thanks to the action of the IGF, it is therefore possible to guarantee the proper use of public funds and to set up an effective management of the resources generated by such events.

The Games of La Francophonie not only allowed Kinshasa to shine on the international scene, but they also played a major role in the economic development of the country. This is why it is crucial to ensure good financial management, in line with international standards.

In conclusion, the IGF’s mission to oversee the financial operations of the Games of La Francophonie was a success, showing the Congolese government’s commitment to transparent management of public funds. This suggests a promising future for the development of the Congolese economy and strengthens the confidence of economic and financial actors in the country.
