“Félix Tshisekedi: The discreet president who moves the Congo”

The power of communication in politics: a look at Félix Tshisekedi

In the political world, communication is often considered an essential tool to promote the actions of a leader. However, some political leaders prefer to keep a low profile and let their actions speak for themselves. This is the case of Congolese President Félix Tshisekedi, according to Vital Kamerhe, leader of the UNC (Union for the Congolese Nation).

Kamerhe claims that Tshisekedi does not have a very active communication cell around his actions. Some might see this as a modest choice, but Kamerhe argues it limits the visibility of the president’s accomplishments. According to him, in politics, it is essential to make known the actions that we undertake.

Yet, despite the absence of vocal communication, Tshisekedi managed to bring about significant change in Congo. For example, education is now free, allowing thousands of children to benefit from a quality education. In the field of health, the president also has great ambitions, in particular the establishment of universal health coverage.

Regarding infrastructure, Tshisekedi has launched large-scale projects, such as the 100 Days Program and the development of 145 territories. Bridges have been built, power lines have been installed, and new roads have been opened, linking different regions of the country.

In addition, Tshisekedi worked to reinvigorate the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer du Congo (SNCC) and hosted the Jeux de la Francophonie in July. His commitment to improving the business climate has also encouraged the construction of many hotels in the country.

Finally, Tshisekedi showed great reactivity by quickly resolving the corn supply crisis in the Katanga region.

Despite the absence of significant media communication, Tshisekedi’s actions brought positive change to the Congolese people. However, it is important to emphasize that political communication is not limited only to speeches and media noise. It also encompasses transparency, efficient management of resources and accountability to citizens.

In conclusion, even if Félix Tshisekedi does not have a very active communication cell around his actions, his commitment to the development of Congo is manifested through the many projects and achievements he has put in place. Communication in politics is important to publicize these actions and show the positive impact they have on the population. However, the true measure of success lies in concrete achievements and changes in the daily lives of citizens
