The power of the consultative meeting: Félix Tshisekedi shares with the heads of institutions the challenges of the nation

For the sake of transparency and collaboration, the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Tshisekedi, brought together the heads of institutions on Monday at the city of the African Union. This consultative meeting aimed to share with them the crucial issues of national life.

Among the personalities present, we find the Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, the President of the Senate Bahati Lukwebo, the First Vice-President of the National Assembly André Mbata and the representative of the Constitutional Court Kamuleta. All were gathered to discuss the major issues of concern to the country.

During this meeting, President Tshisekedi devoted particular attention to the security situation, particularly in connection with the state of siege. A week after the evaluation round table, the Head of State wanted to gather the opinions of the heads of institutions, in addition to those expressed during the round table, to determine the actions to be taken.

In parallel, the ongoing electoral process was also at the heart of the discussions. The Head of State recalled the importance of remaining mobilized on the expectations of the population, particularly in the east of the country, in terms of security and the electoral process.

This inter-institutional meeting marks President Tshisekedi’s desire to take into account the different opinions and to promote a collaborative approach in the management of national affairs. By calling on the heads of institutions, he intends to strengthen democratic governance and ensure that the decisions taken best reflect the aspirations of the Congolese population.

The next steps in the decision-making process will be communicated in the coming days, thus demonstrating President Tshisekedi’s desire to move the country forward and respond to the challenges that arise
