“Kolwezi International Airport: a symbol of the rapid development of the province of Lualaba in the DRC”

The new international airport in Kolwezi, in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is about to be completed. Construction work began in 2020 and its inauguration is expected by the end of the year, according to Archimed Kalasa, executive secretary and spokesperson for the provincial government of Lualaba.

This project is part of a series of projects launched simultaneously in the region. In addition to the airport, important buildings such as the office of the provincial assembly and the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) are also being finalized.
