The news of the death of the famous journalist and publisher of the Congo Wetu newspaper, Mbuyi Tshibuabua, has shaken us all. The details of his death, which occurred on June 10, 2023 at the University Clinics of Kinshasa, quickly spread on social networks, paying tribute to his contribution to press freedom in the DRC.
For the family and loved ones of Mbuyi Tshibuabua, the funeral was organized in his honor, and the program of the event is as follows:
On June 24, a wake is planned at the ELKO space, located on Kimiala Avenue at the entrance to Limeté Salongo, in Kinshasa.
The next day, June 25, there will be a moment of meditation in front of the mortal remains of Mbuyi Tshibuabua at the University Clinics of Kinshasa, followed by a departure for the N’Sele Bambous cemetery.
Later in the afternoon, a consolation bath is planned at the ELKO space in Limeté Salongo.
Mourning is still observed at the residence of the deceased, located at number 70, avenue Montali, Mpasa 2/Camp PM district, N’Sele, behind the Church of the Last Day Saints.
