National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of the Congo: closing of the March session
On Thursday June 15, the March session of the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) was closed by the speaker of the lower house of parliament, Christophe Mboso. For three months, the deputies worked on several parliamentary matters, in particular passed laws.
During this closing, Christophe Mboso sent a short message to his fellow MPs to thank them for the work done during this parliamentary session for the interest of the nation. In his message, he urged the elected officials to briefly present the results of this legislature and to submit their candidacies to obtain the renewal of the confidence of their voters during the next legislative elections.
This closing of the March session of the National Assembly of the DRC was an opportunity to highlight the work accomplished during these three months, under the objective of serving the nation with dignity and responsibility by fulfilling the two main constitutional missions: to legislate and to control.
