Werrason advocates peace with his Congolese fans

Title: “Werrason advocates peace with his Congolese fans”

The famous Congolese musician Werrason refuses to create tension with his Congolese fans following a possible concert he could give in Rwanda. “I cannot come into conflict with the people,” he said during a public intervention.

The comments made by Werrason’s younger brother, Innoss’B, during a conference, angered his fans who called him a traitor for agreeing to perform in Rwanda. A situation that Werrason wanted to rectify by saying that he cannot accept something refused by everyone.

Although this choice could cost him a contract, Werrason is determined to be on the right side of history. He seeks to maintain a good relationship with his Congolese fans and to avoid any conflict with them.

Music must remain a vector of peace, and Werrason is aware of this. His pacifist choice is to be welcomed, especially in a context where the slightest pretext can degenerate into violence.

We encourage Congolese artists to follow Werrason’s example and promote peace and unity between different communities in the region
