Burial of the rector of Simon Kimbangu University: a last tribute paid to Blaise Muya in N’Kamba

On August 24, the city of N’Kamba, located in the province of Kongo Central, will be the scene of the burial of the rector of Simon Kimbangu University, Professor Blaise Muya. Blaise Muya died following a short illness, leaving behind him a notable scientific and academic legacy.

According to a press release made public by his family, the funeral will begin with a wake to be held on Monday August 21 at the site of the Simon Kimbangu University in Bongolo, in the commune of Kalamu. The following day, Tuesday August 22, the body of Blaise Muya will be lifted from the mortuary of the Hôpital du Cinquantenaire to be transferred to the Simon Kimbangu University.

On August 23, an official ceremony will be organized at the University of Kinshasa in honor of Blaise Muya. The late rector will thus be honored for his significant contributions to higher education and research in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Finally, on August 24, Blaise Muya will be buried in the cemetery of the city of N’Kamba.
