Anticipation of events, threats and good governance: an essential recommendation for the DRC
In a context where security threats are increasingly present in Africa, the former auditor of the College of Advanced Studies in Strategies and Defense (CHESD), Roger Sadiki, expressed last Tuesday a strong recommendation to the President of the Republic. According to him, it is crucial to set up a cell to anticipate events, threats and good governance.
For Sadiki, this cell should be composed mainly of former CHESD auditors, in order to benefit from their expertise in terms of security, stability and short, medium and long-term development. The purpose of this initiative is to enable the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to respond quickly and effectively to the various threats it faces, as well as those affecting the sub-region.
The former listener points out that Africa is increasingly infiltrated by terrorist movements, such as the jihadists in the West of the continent. According to him, it is essential to anticipate these threats instead of reacting once they have already taken hold. He also cites other armed groups, such as the Mbororo, which operate in several African countries.
Sadiki also highlights the fact that former CHESD auditors are not used enough by the authorities. He believes that the government must call on their expertise and solicit their contribution to support the country in its security and development.
