“500 scholarships for people living with a disability: a promising partnership between the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation and the INPP”

The Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation has announced a partnership with the National Institute for Professional Preparation (INPP) to offer 500 scholarships to people living with disabilities. This announcement was made during a meeting between the First Lady and the PVH (People Living with a Disability), organized by the Asbl “Pesa moninga smile” of Deputy Eliezer Ntambwe.

More than 2,500 PVH, from all over the capital, gathered at the OCAL field of the RTNC for this occasion. The presence of the President of the Foundation Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi undoubtedly brought a smile and hope to this category of the often marginalized population.

Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi believes in a bright future for PWD through empowerment through training. She highlighted their talents and promised to accompany them to develop their potential. She also urged them to train in various trades in order to gain autonomy.

In the spirit of listening and understanding, the First Lady took the time to discuss with PWDs and identify their needs to improve their social conditions. She praised the efforts of the President of the Republic for the creation of a Ministry dedicated to people living with disabilities.

Before leaving the OCAL field, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi visited an exhibition of works by women and men living with disabilities. This meeting, placed under the theme “Disability is not inevitable”, was an opportunity to highlight the talents of these people and encourage them to flourish thanks to their creativity.

This partnership between the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation and the INPP opens up new prospects for PWDs by offering them the possibility of training and accessing professional opportunities. It constitutes a significant step forward in the fight against the marginalization and the promotion of the social inclusion of people living with disabilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Thanks to these scholarships, these people will be able to develop their skills and flourish in their chosen field, thus contributing to the construction of a more egalitarian and united society
