Between June 16 and 17, 2023, the Regulatory Authority for Subcontracting in the Private Sector (ARSP) organized a business dinner at the CATCH restaurant in Lubumbashi, Haut-Katanga province in the Democratic Republic of Congo ( DRC), to discuss its role in diversifying the national economy.
The ARSP’s mission is to promote Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as well as Congolese entrepreneurship. On this occasion, the ARSP wanted to present the Congolese Subcontracting Law and support the popularization of the said law among local entrepreneurs. The ARSP also insisted on its intervention in various sectors of the national economy, in particular the mining sector.
The evening was an opportunity to bring together the country’s authorities, entrepreneurs and certain personalities to discuss the various presentations and topical themes revolving around the capital role of the ARSP in the diversification of the national economy.
This business dinner represents an important step in the promotion of the Congolese economy and the development of SMEs in the country. The ARSP was thus able, in its role as regulator, to encourage local entrepreneurs to access the multiple markets offered by subcontracting in the Congolese mining industry.
Ultimately, the ARSP is a key ally in realizing the vision of the Congolese Head of State, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi, to promote the real middle class through the diversification of the Congolese economy.
