The 9th Francophone Games, which took place from July 28 to August 6, 2023 in Kinshasa, were a real success. This sporting and cultural event brought together thousands of young people from French-speaking countries to celebrate fraternity and human solidarity.
TFM, official sponsor of these games, was present during the opening ceremony at the Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa. A delegation from the company was able to experience the highlights of this event of international scope. The quality of the organization was praised, with a dazzling opening ceremony, fireworks and many international delegations parading in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
The competitions took place in various sites in the city, such as the Martyrs and Tata Raphaël stadiums, as well as the Wallonia-Brussels centre. Sports events such as football, basketball, table tennis, athletics captivated the spectators. At the same time, cultural activities offered performances of dance, music and storytelling.

TFM has supported several projects, such as the construction of a sports stadium in Fungurume and a multi-purpose hall for cultural events. The company has also organized holiday camps for students, to keep them occupied in a fun and educational way during the holidays.
TFM has also supported the local football teams, FC Éléphant and FC Aigle, which have seen progress thanks to this support. The community development department of TFM has also supported local artists in various artistic fields such as music, painting, pottery and sewing.
