Searches of the residences of Moïse Katumbi and his special adviser Salomon Idi Kalonda: the federation of Together for the Republic, city of Kikwit, denounces an agenda aimed at removing Katumbi from the presidential election of 2023.
In an interview granted to ACTUALITÉ.CD, the Federal President, Jean Kitoko, denounces a decline in the rule of law in the DRC, finds it unacceptable that a residence be searched in the absence of its owner and demands the immediate release, without condition, by Solomon Kalonda.
The organization calls for the release of political space so that Moïse Katumbi can continue his safari in the west of the country.
Denouncing dictatorial excesses of power, the federation invites the population to be vigilant and affirms that the searches mark the hidden agenda to exclude Katumbi from the presidential race of 2023.
In reaction to the statements of the federation, Thierry Monsenepwo defends free justice and accuses the opposition of politicizing legal affairs. The latest developments in the security crisis in Kongo Central province are also worrying, as ADF rebels are spreading terror and paralyzing education in the Rwenzori sector.
However, the DRC took a crucial step towards the issuance of national identity cards and participated in CAN 2023 where the Leopards of the DRC were preparing to face the Panthers of Gabon.
The news in the DRC is therefore plural and covers multiple sectors, from agriculture to diplomatic relations, including security and judicial aspects.
