“The MICHKA FURAH Foundation: a step towards the integral development of the province of Haut-Katanga”
On July 30, 2023, the city of Kasumbalesa inaugurated the MICHKA FURAH Foundation, an integral development structure for the province of Haut-Katanga. On the initiative of Michel KAPENGA MBAYO, this foundation aims to supervise young people in the fields of sport and culture, to support farmers as well as vulnerable and idle people. It also pays particular attention to the promotion of gender, health, the fight against insalubrity and anti-values, as well as the reforestation of empty spaces. In addition, the Foundation has an accelerated training center in automotive and cutting and sewing.
During the inauguration, the general coordinator of the Foundation, Patrick KANTENG, made a point of underlining its apolitical nature and its will to work for all ethnic and cultural tendencies. He invited the population to massively join the MICHKA FURAH Foundation, announcing large-scale actions already planned on the ground. For his part, the initiator Michel KAPENGA MBAYO insisted on the vision of the Foundation, which aims to contribute to development without political goals, but to help the poorest.
The MICHKA FURAH ASBL Foundation represents hope for the province of Haut-Katanga and for the Democratic Republic of Congo as a whole. With its global approach that encompasses different areas of intervention, it is committed to working for harmonious development. Open to all, it invites every Congolese to join its actions in an inclusive and diversified way.
