In May 2023, the Secretary General of Udps/Tshisekedi, Augustin Kabuya, paid a visit to Europe. Welcomed at Zaventem airport, he had intense political activity during which he met with several delegations including members of the Federations of Great Britain, Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, those of the section of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and a dozen young people from the “Autre vision du Congo” party. All these people thanked and congratulated the Secretary General for his commitment and his expertise.
During this visit, SG Augustin Kabuya discussed with members of the federations of France, the Netherlands and Germany who traveled to the European capital to meet the day-to-day manager of the ruling party. He also met with Mrs. Benedicta Lasi, Secretary General of the Socialist International, who came from Germany in discussion with the Spd party. Constructive exchanges with Ms. Lasi throughout the day, particularly on the prospects of the Socialist International.
SG Augustin Kabuya also visited Alexandre Ngyekama, Federal President hospitalized at the Gonesse Hospital Center in the Ile de France region, with a message of comfort and support.
On May 25, 2023, SG Augustin Kabuya met the Udps community in Belgium and discussed the activities of President Félix – Antoine Tshisekedi.
SG Augustin Kabuya’s trip to Europe was an opportunity for him to strengthen his party’s ties with its European allies and to discuss the prospects of the Socialist International.
