The news article that we have in front of us relates a trip made by the Udps/Tshisekedi delegation in the Paris-Brussels axis in May 2023. This delegation was led by Augustin Kabuya, Secretary General of the Udps/Tshisekedi and Vice-President of the Socialist International, accompanied by several important members of his party, including Me Elvis Mayo Bieme, chief of staff, Dr Jonas Kalambayi, deputy chief of staff, and Amisi Makutano, member of the presidium of the Youth League and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ogefrem. During this trip, the delegation had an intense political activity, meeting several delegations from different countries.
The journey begins with a warm arrival at Zaventem airport, where the delegation was welcomed by activists and executives from Udps/Tshisekedi as well as those from other allied parties. The members of the delegation then had a series of meetings with several delegations, including those of the Federations of Great Britain and Belgium, those of the section of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and a dozen young people from the party “Autre vision du Congo”. All these people wished to thank and congratulate the Secretary General for his commitment and his know-how.
With regard to the situation, the delegation evoked the great problems which would weaken the federation Across the Channel, invited the members of the federation of Belgium to the sincerity, to the unity, to the non-exposure of the problems of the party in the social networks, but also to the consideration of UDPS fighters of all kinds. Led by section president J.J. Kabongo, the delegation of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg expressed the wish to erect their entity into a federation, which the SG approved, explaining that the reform still poses problems, but that the situation will be examined.
When he arrived in Paris, Augustin Kabuya did not fail to speak with the members of the French federation: the federal vice-president, the person in charge of mobilization, that of the media and communication and the sectional president of Île-de-France. -France. The interview revolved around the questions of the current state of the federation’s activities, preparations for the presidential election, financial and material means for the federation.
Back in Brussels, Augustin Kabuya received several individuals and especially members of the Dutch and German federations, who traveled to the European capital to meet the day-to-day manager of the ruling party.
The trip of the Udps/Tshisekedi delegation ended with the big meeting between the Udps community of Belgium and the Secretary General in the NH Brussels Carrefour room, rue du Marché aux Herbes 110, 1000 Brussels. This meeting was an opportunity for Augustin Kabuya to provide advice on the conduct of politics and to strengthen the ties between the Congolese diaspora and the party.
