Successful rehabilitation: the Kapata district of Dilala in the DRC benefits from a brand new office thanks to SICOMINES
It is sometimes surprising how a simple office can have a significant impact on the life of a community. This is exactly what happened in the Kapata district of the commune of Dilala, in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Thanks to Sino-Congolese Mines (SICOMINES), the population has officially taken delivery of its brand new recently rehabilitated office.
Kapata Ward Chief Dikubi Musa spoke with gratitude at the inauguration of the renovated office. He praised the commitment of SICOMINES to meet the needs of the community by transforming their requests into concrete projects. The office, which was once dilapidated, is now a symbol of pride for the local population.
SICOMINES has already carried out several projects in the region, including the construction and equipment of a technical school, a health center, as well as improvements to the road infrastructure. The rehabilitation of the Kapata district office is part of this approach, offering the community a quality workspace where they can receive visitors from all walks of life.
Ilunga Mwinkeu, first vice-president of the local Committee for monitoring the specifications of SICOMINES, underlined the importance of this rehabilitation for the community. He also revealed that other projects were underway, such as the rehabilitation of a water tower and the construction of a second, as well as the installation of standpipes to supply drinking water to the Kapata district. .
The Mayor of the commune of Dilala, Mrs. Françoise Mangweji, expressed her thanks to SICOMINES for its constant support. She underlined the positive impact of the rehabilitation of the office on the population, which will now be able to work in good conditions.
