The room was packed on June 3, 2023 in Lubumbashi during the political demonstration of the Republican Coalition for Democracy and Federalism (CRDF). According to the organizers, the purpose of the great mobilization was to install the members of the national committee of the party as well as the various grassroots structures.
The national president of the CRDF, Juvenal Kitungwa, has promised Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, president of the Democratic Republic of Congo, a second mandate, as well as a parliamentary majority in his favour. He said his political vision was to fight for the triumph of democracy, the rule of law and federalism.
Michel Kabwe, head of mission for President Tshisekedi in Greater Katanga, congratulated the members of the CRDF for their mobilization and promised a frank collaboration with Juvenal Kitungwa. He called on party executives and activists to unite around their national president.
It is important to note that Juvenal Kitungwa Lugoma, provincial deputy and national president of the CRDF, forged a new political image after leaving Unafec.
In a country where political stability is rare, political protests are important events to follow. The upcoming elections will also be a key topic, as different political parties continue to show support or opposition to the current government.
