CRDF: Massive mobilization for the election of Felix Tshisekedi in 2023

The Republican Coalition for Democracy and Federalism (CRDF) organized a major political demonstration on June 3, 2023 in Lubumbashi to install the members of the national committee and the various grassroots structures of the party. Juvénal Kitungwa Lugoma, its national president, has pledged to give President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi a second term and a majority in parliament in his favour.

The President of the Republic’s representative in Greater Katanga, Michel Kabwe, was present at the event and welcomed the strong mobilization of CRDF activists. He also promised a frank collaboration with the national president of the party.

Provincial deputy and new political entrant of weight in the Congolese political landscape, Juvenal Kitungwa Lugoma, thus forges a new political image after leaving Unafec.

This political demonstration takes place in a context of political and economic challenges for the DRC. The country is currently experiencing persistent armed conflicts in the east, economic stability problems, as well as political stability issues with the rise of the Sacred Union, to which President Félix Tshisekedi has joined.

It is important that the Congolese political parties begin to define an ideology and a program to respond effectively to the expectations of the Congolese. Establishing these key elements will build credibility and citizens’ confidence in their political system.
