“More than 62,000 students will take the national primary school leaving exam in the Kasaï Central 1 educational province”

The national primary school leaving examination (ENAFEP) begins on June 1, 2023 in the Kasaï Central 1 educational province. More than 62,000 candidates, including 29,000 girls, will take the tests for this edition. The exam is scheduled to close on June 2, the day after it starts.

The vice-governor of Kasaï Central province, Martin Makita Nfuamba, officially launched the examination in the Diakaja primary school, located in the commune of Katoka, city of Kananga, in the presence of the political and administrative authorities of the region.

Mr. Nfuamba took the opportunity to thank the President of the Republic, Felix Tshisekedi, for his contribution to the effectiveness of free basic education. “All our children from our poor or rich families now have access to education, and they will pass the exam without paying a single penny,” he said in his speech.

By 2022, nearly 59,000 students had participated in ENAFEP, including more than 27,000 girls.

Education remains one of the keys to economic growth in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The government is currently working to build a lot of educational infrastructure across the country and to make primary education free for all.

This national primary school leaving exam is a crucial step for the future of Congolese students and the pursuit of their education. Hope this session will be fruitful for all candidates
