William Mukambila resumes his duties as President of the National Youth Council of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
In a grand ceremony held this Monday, August 1, William Mukambila resumed his duties as President of the National Youth Council of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This recovery follows its rehabilitation by an order of the Council of State dated July 14th.
Accompanied by many young representatives of youth movements and associations, the Congolese youth ambassador gave a speech focusing on unity and national cohesion in this pre-election period.
“We have always demonstrated our will and above all your unprecedented support for us to sit at the head of this institution which represents you,” he said, addressing the young people present at his side.
He also promised to make his position as president of the national youth council the noblest, placing himself in the position of a servant rather than a leader. He is committed to serving Congolese youth and the DRC in unity and national cohesion, supporting President Félix Tshisekedi, Head of State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
William Mukambila also called on the youth to have confidence in the ministry of youth and underlined the importance of working harmoniously with the ministry in question, which is the government department responsible for the national youth council.
He is ready to work in close collaboration with the supervising minister for the good of Congolese youth.
This resumption of the duties of William Mukambila marks an important step in the promotion of young people and their active involvement in the national affairs of the DRC. Let’s hope that this new period will be marked by a fruitful collaboration between young people and the authorities in order to create a better future for Congolese youth
