On the list of medals already won at the Francophonie Games, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is tied for fourth with France and Armenia, with three medals each. The host nation has won two silver medals and a bronze medal, but has yet to clinch a gold medal.
At the top of the ranking, we find the Kingdom of Morocco with six medals, including three gold medals, two silver medals and a bronze medal. Morocco thus shows its dominance in these Games of La Francophonie.
Just behind we have Romania with five medals on the clock, including two gold medals and three bronze medals. Cameroon occupies the third position with four medals, one gold medal and three bronze medals.
France, like the DRC, obtained two gold medals and a silver medal. Armenia meanwhile won a gold medal, a silver medal and a bronze medal.
Other countries also managed to win medals. Senegal won two medals, a silver medal and a bronze medal. Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Republic of Congo (Brazzaville) and Vietnam each won a medal.
This competition is therefore highly competitive and the countries are determined to obtain the best possible place in the medal standings. The exceptional performances of the Moroccan, Romanian and Cameroonian athletes show their talent and their preparation for these Games of La Francophonie.
The DRC, meanwhile, have yet to prove themselves to clinch a gold medal and move up the rankings. The upcoming events will be decisive and the Congolese athletes will have to give the best of themselves to hope to climb on the top step of the podium.
