Alphamin Resources: The leader in the tin industry in the DRC
At the heart of the mining industry in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Alphamin Resources stands out as the undisputed leader in the industrial tin sector. Indeed, according to compiled statistical data, the mining company holds an impressive 93% share of total tin exports in the country, whether industrial or artisanal.
Considered a major player in the tin industry in the DRC, Alphamin Resources recorded a slight decrease of 1% in the second quarter of this year, with a delivery of 3,151 tons. However, experts remain optimistic about the company’s growth prospects for the full year.
According to forecasts, Alphamin Resources’ operations could exceed market expectations, which were initially set at 12,000 tons. At the current rate, the mining company has announced that its annual production capacity of around 12,000 tonnes represents around 4% of the world’s tin supply.
Despite the challenges related to lower sales and prices, which impacted EBITDA for the period to $35.4 million, Alphamin Resources remains committed to continuing its operations and even aims to increase its production capacity to approximately 20 000 tonnes by December 2023.
As the leader in the tin sector in the DRC, Alphamin Resources plays a crucial role in the global supply of tin. The company thus contributes to the country’s economic development while relying on responsible and sustainable mining practices.
With its dominant position in the industrial tin market in the DRC, Alphamin Resources continues to demonstrate its expertise and commitment to the mining industry, contributing to the country’s economic growth and promoting sustainable development
