Control of subcontracting: President Félix Tshisekedi supports the campaign in the provinces
The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, recently agreed to the continuation of the campaign to control subcontracting activities in companies subject to this regulation. After a first phase in Kinshasa, the campaign will now extend to the provinces of Haut-Katanga, Lualaba, Kasai, Sud-Kivu and Haut-Uele. This support from President Tshisekedi demonstrates his commitment to enforcing the law and positioning Congolese companies in the field of subcontracting.
These are the comments made by the Director General of the Regulatory Authority for Subcontracting in the Private Sector (ARSP), Miguel Kashal, during an exchange with President Tshisekedi. Miguel Kashal also announced the forthcoming publication of a detailed report on the results of the compliance monitoring campaign.
The ARSP is currently in full compliance control in several sectors of the national economy, such as infrastructure, telecommunications, breweries and aeronautics. The objective of this campaign is to ensure that companies respect the rules on subcontracting and to promote the emergence of Congolese companies in this field.
This initiative is of capital importance in a context where subcontracting has become a key element of the globalized economy. Indeed, outsourcing allows companies to specialize in their core business, while delegating certain activities to external service providers. This promotes flexibility, competitiveness and job creation.
However, it is essential that subcontracting is carried out in a transparent and fair manner, in accordance with the legislation in force. This is where the role of the ARSP and the Congolese authorities takes on its full importance, by ensuring respect for workers’ rights, the protection of business interests and the fight against all forms of illegal or abusive practices.
The compliance control campaign in companies subject to subcontracting regulations is therefore a crucial step in promoting a dynamic and competitive Congolese economy. By actively supporting this initiative, President Félix Tshisekedi Tshilombo is sending a strong signal to the country’s economic players: subcontracting must be supervised and regulated to guarantee fair labor relations and promote the sustainable development of the Congolese economy.
The next stages of the control campaign therefore look promising, with the expansion of the latter in the provinces of Haut-Katanga, Lualaba, Kasai, Sud-Kivu and Haut-Uele.. This initiative will help strengthen transparency and legality in outsourcing practices, and promote the development of a strong and prosperous economy in the Democratic Republic of Congo
