Compliance control in companies in the DRC: Félix Tshisekedi supports the campaign extending its action to new provinces

President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo has given his agreement to the continuation of the campaign to control subcontracting activities in companies subject to this regulation in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

After starting in Kinshasa, the compliance monitoring campaign will extend to the provinces of Haut-Katanga, Lualaba, Kasai, Sud-Kivu and Haut-Uele.

During a meeting with the Director General of the Private Sector Subcontracting Regulatory Authority (ARSP), Miguel Kashal, President Tshisekedi expressed his support for the campaign and encouraged the strict application of the law to promote Congolese companies in the field of subcontracting.

Miguel Kashal said that the compliance monitoring campaign is underway in all sectors of the national economy, including infrastructure, telecommunications, breweries and aeronautics.

The ARSP will soon publish a detailed report on the results of the checks carried out so far.

This initiative aims to strengthen regulation and transparency in outsourcing activities, ensuring that companies comply with applicable standards and laws.

Subcontracting is a common practice in many economic sectors, allowing companies to delegate certain tasks to specialized subcontractors. However, it is essential to ensure that these subcontractors operate legally and comply with workers’ rights, safety standards and applicable regulations.

With the support of President Tshisekedi, this compliance monitoring campaign aims to promote economic growth and sustainable development by ensuring that outsourcing activities in the DRC are carried out in accordance with established standards.

By continuing this campaign in the provinces of Haut-Katanga, Lualaba, Kasai, Sud-Kivu and Haut-Uele, the Congolese government demonstrates its commitment to strengthening regulations and promoting the subcontracting sector throughout the country, promoting economic prosperity and improved working conditions for Congolese workers
