The Chief Medical Officer of Nyangezi Health Zone, Dr Olivier KABARATI AMANI recently spoke about the measles campaign held in the town. In an exclusive interview with congoprofond.net, he said he was very satisfied with the results obtained. Indeed, thanks to the participation of local authorities, civil society and the media, the number of vaccinated exceeded the expected number with more than 35,000 children vaccinated, i.e. more than 105% of the expected number of 34,000 children. .
Asked about the next vaccination campaign against poliomyelitis which will start on June 8, Dr. KABARATI asked parents to prepare their children for this campaign. He also called on local personalities to support them in their approach for better success.
The measles vaccination campaign took place from May 24 to 28 and was a great success thanks to the mobilization of all the actors involved.
