The Young Congolese Entrepreneurs Fair rewards five innovative projects

The annual summit “the fair for young Congolese entrepreneurs” held its second edition on Thursday, June 1, 2023, in Pullman Lubumbashi. This event, organized by the “Le Parrain” foundation, was an opportunity for five young entrepreneurs to present their innovative projects to an attentive audience. The Godfather Foundation rewarded each of them with a check for US$10,000 to help them start their business.

The ceremony included various conferences dealing with entrepreneurship, as well as a sharing of experience between the guests. This year, the winners of the first edition were invited to participate as panelists. All the discussions highlighted the possibilities for the future for the youth. The exchanges also focused on business creation as the way forward for the development of the province of Haut-Katanga as well as the Democratic Republic of Congo as a whole.

Passy MUKOMA, President of the “Le Parrain” Foundation, presented a video encouraging young people to embark on entrepreneurship, with the hope of replicating the success of the entrepreneurs of the first edition.

The ceremony ended with a visit to the stands. The Foundation has announced that the next summit will take place in another province of the DRC.

The “The Godfather” Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to promote entrepreneurship among young people in the DRC. It accompanies project leaders and helps them access financing to launch their businesses.
