The High Military Court of Kinshasa continued the investigation in the case implicating the national deputy Édouard Mwangachuchu, on Tuesday, May 30. The defendant was interrogated in particular about his real estate possessions in Kigali, to which he replied that it is his son, Christian Mwangachuchu, who owns a house there.
The National Intelligence Agency (ANR) had nevertheless established a rapprochement between Édouard Mwangachuchu and the Rwandan authorities. The Court indeed suspected the defendant of having participated in an insurrectionary movement, of maintaining links with the M23 rebels, of inciting soldiers to commit acts contrary to duty and discipline, and of illegally detaining munitions of war.
