Title: Ugandan ADF Rebels Free in Babila-Bakwanza Chiefdom: Locals Demand Massive Military Deployment
Introduction :
The coordination of the new Congolese civil society (NSCC), territorial branch of Mambasa, reveals that Ugandan rebels belonging to the democratic and allied forces (ADF) are currently circulating freely in the Babila-Bakwanza chiefdom. Their presence has caused significant destruction and loss to villagers in the area. Faced with this alarming situation, the local population is asking for a massive deployment of soldiers to put an end to the threat and guarantee security in the area.
Development :
For several weeks, the ADF rebels have intensified their activities in the region of the Babila-Bakwanza chiefdom. Their attacks resulted in the burning of five houses belonging to the villagers of Babulujo and Mabuluku, along the national road number 4, linking Mambasa to Komanda.
Despite public alerts to the presence of terrorist movements, the authorities have not yet taken the necessary measures to put an end to this situation. The Mambasa NSCC therefore calls for the deployment of a significant number of soldiers in the chiefdom to track down and neutralize members of the ADF.
Master John Vuleveryo, coordinator of the NSCC, underlines the urgency of this military action to guarantee the safety of the local population. According to him, without effective military operations, it is unlikely that the rebels will voluntarily withdraw from the area. He insists that the presence of armed forces is necessary to deter the ADF and restore peace in the region.
Moreover, this request for massive military deployment follows recent rebel attacks in the localities of Apesiko and Elake North, where several civilians were savagely massacred. These tragic events underscore the urgency of the situation and the need for an appropriate security response.
Conclusion :
The presence of Ugandan rebels from the ADF in the Babila-Bakwanza chiefdom poses a serious threat to the security and well-being of the inhabitants of the region. Faced with this situation, the local population insistently demands a massive deployment of soldiers to put an end to the activities of the ADF and restore tranquility in the region. It is therefore imperative that the authorities take prompt and effective measures to respond to this legitimate demand for security and to protect the citizens of the Babila-Bakwanza chiefdom
