The Higher Institute of Applied Computer Techniques (ISTIA) meets the growing needs of parents in the rural town of Sakania. Indeed, this institution of higher education will open its doors this year with the aim of offering training in computer science and other specialized courses. This initiative is the result of lobbying by the residents of Sakania and supported by the territory administrator, Nicolas MASAKU MUSOLO.
During a meeting between the ISTIA delegation and the local authorities, it was announced that the institute will be operational from this new academic year. The courses offered cover a wide range of fields, such as computer sciences, management informatics, networks and telecommunications, applied techniques (electromechanics, industrial electronics, electricity), medical techniques (general care, hospital management, laboratory, paediatrics) and commercial and financial sciences (customs and excise, accounting, marketing).
This opening will allow students from the Sakania region to benefit from specialized training without having to travel to Lubumbashi, which represents both time savings and a reduction in expenses related to these trips. ISTIA thus offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen the skills and knowledge of young people in Sakania in the fields of IT and other essential sectors.
The administrator of the territory, Nicolas MASAKU MUSOLO, expressed his gratitude to the authorities of ISTIA for having responded favorably to his request to open an extension in his commune. He sees this openness as a concrete solution to solving the difficulties faced by Sakania students, and he hopes that this initiative will encourage other higher education institutions to follow this example.
In conclusion, the opening of ISTIA in Sakania represents a major step forward for education and training in this region. Students will now have access to quality training without having to travel long distances. This will undoubtedly strengthen the skills and opportunities for the young people of Sakania, thus contributing to the economic and social development of the rural commune
