Title: Martin Fayulu boycotts the electoral process and demands the audit of an independent electoral file

Introduction :

In a recent statement to the press, opponent Martin Fayulu announced that he will not participate in the ongoing electoral process in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He expressed his refusal to support Felix Tshisekedi and his Sacred Union, which he accuses of preparing a new electoral forfeiture. According to him, the essential prerequisite for transparent elections is the audit of the electoral register by an independent firm. In this article, we will explore the reasons behind this decision and the issues related to the audit of the electoral register.

The refusal to whitewash electoral fraud:

Martin Fayulu is categorical: he will not participate in a new electoral charade and refuses to support a possible fraud. According to him, the National Independent Electoral Commission (CENI) refuses to submit its electoral register to an external audit, because it knows full well that it contains fictitious, that is to say fraudulent registrations. The leader of Ecide is convinced that any legitimate election must be based on a reliable and transparent electoral register.

The request for an independent audit:

To guarantee the integrity of the electoral process, Martin Fayulu reiterates his request for an audit of the electoral register by a reputable independent body. He insisted on the presence of delegates from the various stakeholders to ensure the transparency of this audit. According to him, only an independently verified electoral register can guarantee the confidence of voters and the legitimacy of the ballot.

The mobilization of the Congolese people:

Faced with this impasse, Martin Fayulu calls on the Congolese people to mobilize massively to prevent the holding of an electoral travesty. He recalls that, in accordance with article 64 of the Constitution, Congolese citizens have the duty to defeat any form of dictatorship, from any source. Martin Fayulu is counting on popular mobilization to defend the truth of the ballot box and fight against electoral fraud.

Conclusion :

Martin Fayulu has decided to boycott the ongoing electoral process in the Democratic Republic of Congo, believing that the conditions for transparent elections are not met. His refusal to support Felix Tshisekedi and his Sacred Union amounts to refusing to whitewash electoral fraud. He thus calls for an independent audit of the electoral register in order to guarantee the credibility of the ballot
